search not considering translated titles
it appears as if the search is only considering the original
title and ignoring translated titles (I noticed this on the normal
website search and the 2.1 API search)
e.g. searching for "troy" will nicely find http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/652-troy
and present the german title on the results page but searching for
"troja" will only offer movies that contain "troja" in the original
title. A criteria which the expected movie does not meet.
Am I missing something or is this simply a bug?

I’ve created a ticket for this and will look at it. I’ve been spending a lot more time lately making sure the translations and language stuff on TMDb is a bit tighter and working the way you’d expect. This is definitely not how I would expect it to work.

I just noticed this too. It seems it doesn't consider non-English titles at all, even if it's the original. See e.g. here: http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/80045-ertova-nev-sta - this movie cannot be found by the original title ("Čertova nevěsta"), only by its English translation ("The Devil's Bride"), even though it shows up correctly.

I noticed the same problem. The search for the Chaos movie with the title translated in Italian (Caos) no results. Same behavior also in the site. The search only works with Chaos.

Any news about this problem?
The movie is "troy" from the year 2004.
When I search here on the homepage for troy the movie is found.

When I search for the german title which is "troja" the movie is not found.
German title is set to the movie, why is this movie not found?

XBMC does not found the movie too, file name is "Troja"

Same problem here about the movie "This means war" and its french title "Target" !
It would be really cool to be able to retrieve the movie by it's translated name soon !
